Abstract: This article will point out a few of the best budget smartphones for 2012.  It will point out a few of the advantages and disadvantages of each one and then offer an overall winner for the best budget smartphone 2012 award.

Smartphones have became increasingly popular over the last year or so however with the likes of the iPhone 5 and Samsung galaxy s 3 being released with price tags of around £400 buyers may think that a smart phone is well out of reach for them.  The truth is those giant smartphones are not the be all and end all of smart mobile phones because there are in fact budget smartphones at around £100 which are easily over looked when the big dogs are taking all the headlines.  Here we have put together a list of what we think are the best budget smartphones of 2012 and will pick an overall winner at the end.

Best budget smartphone contender number 1

The htc desire c is in our consideration list because it comes with Android Ice Cream which is a remarkable mobile operating system that offers a lot of apps.  On the downside the screen isnt the best and processor isnt overly powerful either.  However this is a great phone if you want to do more than just phone people.

Best budget smartphone contender number 2

The blackberry curve 9320 is our second consideration for the best budget smartphone 2012.  This phone offers wifi, gps, 3g and a good battery life.  However it doesn't have a touch screen but instead uses the typical qwerty keyboard which some people may like.  Great for checking emails and internet on the go.

Best budget smartphone contender number 3

The lg optimus l3 is our final consideration for the best budget smartphone 2012 award.  This phone is much cheaper than the rest £70.  However it doesn't look or feel cheap.  It comes with the android gingerbread operating system which is good for an entry level smartphone. It offers 3g data connectivity 1 gb of internal storage which can be expanded with a micro sd card.  Sadly though it is a basic screen with basic features which can't compete with the higher end smart phones.

In conclusion

All of the above smartphones are great entry level budget smartphones which can be picked up at a great price.  It is very difficult to separate them.  However though the winner of the best budget smartphone 2012 award goes to the htc desire c because of its great operating system and features.

Hopefully you have enjoyed this article and learnt a little bit more about the best budget smartphones that are often overlooked.
